What it is:

The SMARTIE Buddy study skills training is a three-hour course that will
jump-start smart studying skills and equip instructors with the tools to drive
student success. Teachers, tutors, and parents will acquire the SMARTIE Buddy
testing fundamentals and get proven direction to teach all about learning
preferences, study plans, memorization strategies, and test-taking with
confidence.

What is Covered:

Learning about Learning
This module teaches you all about the foundations of learning. Learn how the brain works, learning modalities and preferences, and how neuroplasticity changes the game. 

S-Self
This module helps students understand their unique learning process, embrace
strengths and struggles, and create personalized, brain-based study plans for
transformative change.


M-Memory
This module teaches how to build memory from the ground up. SMARTIE Buddy
strategies improve working memory through memory building warm-ups. Our
research-based memorization secrets make learning manageable and fun,
leading to improved memory skills


T - Testing
This module delves into test-studying and test-taking skills. Develop a deeper
understanding and learn how to implement proven, research-backed test prep
and test-taking strategies, including the Knapsack Study Plan and Test Tracker
tools, so students know when they have mastered the material.


I-Improvement
This module teaches how to follow progress, track growth and celebrate the
positive changes from test, to test, to test—driving momentum, and building
internal motivation and self-worth.
